Prakhya Koya is a high school senior and the visionary entrepreneur behind Leap4u. For four and a half years of social service, her community contribution is quite remarkable and deep. Her work has mainly reduced food insecurity, expanded educational opportunities, and provided leadership chances for the youths, ultimately improving the lives of many people.
Prakhya has led initiatives addressing food insecurity, educational equality, and teen leadership development. From the organization of food drives to provide homeless shelters to the mentoring and workshops for students, she has demonstrated at every step a selfless spirit for the welfare of others. As a library Teen Advisory Board representative, she has led teens’ involvement in libraries and introduced the integration of technology to expand the learning experience. As a National Youth Mental Health Advocate, she continues to bring the voice of the youngsters forth and advocate awareness, strength, and mental health at both the local and the national levels.
Beyond her nonprofit work, Prakhya is also a student whose skills extend to many areas. She is a gifted choreographer, a martial art black belt , a published research scholar, and a nature activist by passion. She adheres to the values of unity, fairness, and compassion and holds strongly to the notion of stronger and better communities built on the foundations of respect and inclusivity. Her social activism is very inspiring, and through Leap4u and other initiatives, Prakhya is transforming lives and the future for the better.
